Vbeam

Vbeam is a pulsed-light laser and is used to treat vascular and pigmented lesions. Your provider will use Vbeam to treat rosacea, sun damage, wrinkles, and warts. The laser treats these areas heating up the damaged tissues. The surrounding healthy skin tissue remains untouched.

BBL

BroadBand Light (BBL) is a flash lamp technology laser. It is used for targeted treatment of sun spots, freckles, and other signs of aging.

How does laser tattoo removal work?

Lasers are focused, high-intensity light beams that are used to break up the ink pigment in your tattoo. Different lasers produce differing wavelengths. Your provider at SWFL Dermatology Plastic Surgery & Laser Center uses the Medlite® C6 laser to remove your unwanted tattoo. 

Is laser tattoo removal right for me?

During your initial consultation about tattoo removal, you and your dermatologist will discuss various factors related to your tattoo, including its:

Because the laser light breaks up the ink in layers, your laser tattoo removal will likely require more than one laser treatment. After your consultation, your provider will give you an idea of how many laser treatments are needed for removal. 

After each treatment, your treated skin will need time to heal and the resulting ink particles must be flushed by your body. With each laser treatment, you’ll notice your tattoo fades more.
